Getting a good score is only half the battle. Understanding the cutoff structure determines whether you get a PI call or not.
IIM Indore — Expected Cutoff 2028
General category: 260 to 270 marks overall.
NC-OBC: 235 to 245.
EWS: 230 to 240.
SC: 175 to 190.
ST: 155 to 170.
PwD: 130 to 145.
Both overall and sectional cutoffs must be cleared. A high overall score with one weak section will not get you a PI call.
IIM Rohtak — Expected Cutoff 2028
General category: 300 to 310 marks overall.
NC-OBC: 270 to 280.
EWS: 260 to 270.
SC: 200 to 215.
ST: 175 to 190.
PwD: 150 to 165.
What Happens After Result
IIM Indore: Shortlist published based on IPMAT score, then Personal Interview (20-30 minute interview), then final merit list based on IPMAT score + PI performance + academic profile. IIM Rohtak: Shortlist based on IPMAT score, then Written Ability Test (20-minute essay), then Personal Interview, then final merit list as composite score.
Safe Score Targets
IIM Indore (General): Very safe at 290+, safe at 270+, borderline at 255-270. IIM Rohtak (General): Very safe at 330+, safe at 310+, borderline at 295-310.
