The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) is being introduced for admission into all UG Programmes in all Central Universities for Academic session 2023-24 under the Ministry of Education, (MoE). The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) will provide a common platform and equal opportunities to candidates across the country, especially those from rural and other remote areas and help establish better connect with the Universities.
The main objective of this entrance exam is to create a platform providing equal opportunities to all the students across India irrespective of their class 12 board exam marks, religion, and gender. The students from the rural areas also will get opportunities to apply to central universities if they qualify for the entrance test. Students belonging to the general category must secure at least 50% in the class 12 board examination to fill the application.
CUET NTA 2022 will be a computer-based test (CBT) centred on the Class 12 NCERT textbooks. Incorrect answers will result in negative marks.The CUET 2022 examination is divided into three sections: Section A (Language), Section B (Domain-specific test), and Section C (Optional general test for vocational/ cross-stream/ open eligibility).
NTA has added 19 new universities to the existing CUET universities, totaling 109 colleges for this year. Top universities like DU, JMI, JNU etc., will continue with CUET as their admission process. This increases your chances of studying at these prestigious universities.
The CUET cut-off will be prepared along with the rank list by each participating university based on the candidates' performance in the CUET entrance test. CUET 2023 cutoffs will be released by the different central universities in the form of marks/scores/percentiles
