Direction for question 1-6: Refer to the data below and answer the questions that follow.A, B, C, D and E play a card game called ‘Open Show’. There are a total of 40 cards, 10 cards each of four different colours namely red, blue, black and green. The ten cards of each colour are numbered from 1 to 10. Each player gets 8 cards at the beginning of the game. There are 8 rounds in the game. In each round, every player has to play one card. In each round, the player who plays the highest numbered card out of all the players wins the round. If two or more players play the same numbered card, then green colour wins over all the colours, red colour wins over blue and black colours and black colour wins over blue colour. The following table shows the cards with each player at the start of the game.

A twenty overs cricket match was organized between two teams namely ‘Himalaya Stars’ and ‘Panama Champs’. The ‘Himalaya Stars’ batted first. They lost seven wickets in 20 overs and the players who lost their wickets were Chetan, Gaurav, Madan, Parth, Rohit, Samir and Virat, not necessarily in the same order. Three bowlers of ‘Panama Champs’ namely Botham, Michael and Stewart took all these 7 wickets. The following table shows the serial number of the overs in which the wickets were lost. Some names are missing and are marked as ‘&’.

Parth: The first wicket taken by Botham was mine.Chetan: The last wicket taken by Michael was mine.Gaurav: Mine was the first wicket taken by Stewart.Virat: Botham had already taken 2 wickets before he took my wicket.

 

Neither Michael nor Stewart took less than 2 wickets. Botham took two consecutive wickets but Samir’s wicket was not taken by Botham. Stewart did not bowl any of the first five overs. The 6th over was not bowled by Botham. Rohit lost his wicket before Chetan.

Direction for question 11-14: Refer to the data below and answer the questions that follow.Eight countries, India, China, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Hong Kong and UAE participated in the Asia Cup Cricket tournament. Each team played exactly once against each other in the tournament. The teams got 3 points for winning and no points for losing the match. If a match was a draw, each team got one point.

 

Further the following points are known:

  1. Each team won at least one match. Pakistan drew its matches against Bangladesh, India, Afghanistan and China.

  2. Afghanistan won the matches against Bangladesh, China and Hong Kong and lost the matches against India and Sri Lanka.

Directions for questions 15 to 18: Answer the questions on the basis of the information given below.Five players - Adriana, Bandita, Clayton, Daisy, and Ethan - play a game called “Dungeons and Dragons”. Four players play in each round, with one player sitting out. Rounds are played by two competing teams of two players each. The players have agreed on the following rules of participation:(i) After a round is concluded, one player from the losing team in that round must sit out the next round of the game.(ii) No two players can play as a team in two consecutive rounds of the game.(iii) After a round is concluded, the player who has sat out that round and a player from the winning team in that round join to form the team that is known as “Dungeons” for the next round.(iv) After a round is concluded, one player from the losing team in that round and one player from the winning team in that round join to form the team that is known as “Dragons” for the next round.(v) No round of the game can end in a tie.
